Rage Kitty Dexx Starr!

This is by far the most fun I've had completing a commission. It wasn't easy but the result is just so funny that I can't help laughing about it.

RAGE KITTY:

Took left over spandex and began draping it over kitty and marking it for cut lines.






Cleaned up the design of the pattern pieces a bit. Laid out on red PVC and black 4-way stretch spandex.



Began the assembly with constant testing of the fitting.



Compared it to the original artwork. The only thing left off are the waist hash marks. The rest seems pretty good.


Last step was create the embroidered patch of the Red Lantern Corps and use some vinyl glue to affix it to the back (per customer's request since it's easier to see than Dexx's belly).



And we have the 99% finished Dexx Starr! He needs to be colored blue which might possibly be done with blue hairspray.

Day-Glo Harley Suit For Sale

I'm doing more cleaning of my superhero closet. I've just listed my original Day-Glo Harley Quinn suit on Etsy. Considering that finished black & red Harley suits sell on average of $250, I'm offering this at half because of its unusual colors. So for $125 it can be yours. Never worn other than for listing photos.

This suit was made merely as a practice piece for my construction of another suit. The day-glow colors are really fun and bright.

Included in this sale are the bodysuit, headpiece with collar attached, gloves, and booties. The suit has a zipper in the back as does the headpiece.

The stitching in some areas like the joints of the gloves, is a little visible and the ankles are not hemmed; I find them easier/stretchier to get in and out of if they are not finished.

My only reason for selling at this point is financial, otherwise I really like it and want to keep it. If you have any questions please send them to me and I can always send you additional pictures for clarity.

The size is a woman's Medium, basically fitting between 8-12, short/petite fit.

I was up against my friend Robin/ISUSuperman who happened to be someone I featured in my post about Watchmen costumes. Robin had entered the contest in his ridiculously awesome Deadpool costume. I'm blown away that the judges picked me over him.

This is loosely based on Mark Brooks' rendition of Black Cat. It was only the second suit I ever made and far from the best. I'm being honest. The $75 price is basically covering the Dragonskin mask which was made by a friend of mine.
